About Concept for Community Support, Inc
Concept for Community Support Inc., located in Owings Mills, Maryland, offers a foundation of supportive services to help individuals with developmental disabilities grow more independent and achieve fuller, more satisfying lives.
Our staff are highly trained, compassionate and fully qualified to administer professional care. We give the gift of independence to adult individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities under our program.
At concept, we engage individuals in new opportunities. We strive to help those we serve become as independent as possible while fully supported by staff. Our individuals are empowered to make their own choices and to find self worth through individualized jobs. Our passionate, dedicated and supportive staff members respect every individual we serve to help them reach their full potential.
Developing tailored services based on the individual and their changing needs, to this end, we work diligently with families and advocates to create unique, non-traditional ways of providing services.
Concept is unique on different levels. Our service include Community Living Group Homes, Supported Living, Personal Supports, Community Development Services, Employment Services, Transportation, Nursing Services, and Respite Care.
Individuals have the option to live in their own homes with support provided by Concept, or live in agency-owned homes.
Individuals are encouraged to participate in community activities and maintain meaningful relationships.
Individuals are assisted with finding and keeping employment in the community.
Individuals are encouraged to have social lives of their choice, so as to strengthen established relationships in the community.
Individuals participate in Community Development (CDS) programs with their peers and enjoy activities of interest including games, puzzles, group activities and individual therapy.
Our mission is to provide programs and services for adult individuals with Developmental Disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and optimize their independence and capabilities. Concept ensures self-determination, rights, and enhances opportunities to live a healthy, safe and valued lives.
Our vision is to provide programs and services that will integrate them with the community they live, and be able to exercise their rights, choice and freedom to the best of their ability
